    I purchased this 2018 elite odyssey van in late May and I love it. I had been waiting for the 2018 to go on sale for months so I could decide between it, Honda pilot to the Toyota highlander. Boy am I glad I waited. The other vehicles were very nice but the odyssey had so much more room for passengers, golf clubs and luggage on long trips. The ride is great, very quite and handles like a upscale car. My fuel milage has been a combined 23.9 MPG for 6000 miles. Im a senior and the safety features on this Elite makes it a pleasure to drive. My favorite features are the forward collision and blind spot. My only negative is that it takes a while to figure out the infotainment system.

    Honda has serious quality and reliability issues with this car. Urge any potential buyer to talk to Honda NA about the SW problems. Three months old and 13 trips to the shop. Replaced the Sirius radio antenna, audio mondule, the DVD Player Video Module, and the cargo door controller...all still are not functional. Dealers tell owners that Honda is releasing a SW fix to address all isssues. Has not happended and they cant tell you when it will happen. Honda advised not to use Cabin Watch because it overheats. Display and DVD continue to lock up which requires the dealer to do a hard reset that erases all loaded data. Done three times to date to get the display to come back on. This is a common problem on all 2018 models.

    Poor vehicle deep down when you dissociate yourself from the aggressive 'best van' marketing; not suited for colder climate, plastic paneling separates and causes leaks, FWD only as compared to Toyota Sienna (AWD) so very poor control during winter, slides badly and relatively low ground clearance; snow mode is useless and gives no additional traction; Driver display screen froze once draining the battery needing jump start; persistent problems with 'walk away auto lock'; sluggish pick-up even with sports mode, does not feel sturdy, and have no confidence in the 5 star crash rating; can feel the centrifugal force while turning at more than 35 miles speed; interior trims and panels in the car boot came loose 1 month after purchase; couple of recalls already in couple of months of purchase, 3rd row driver side charger was found to be faulty after purchase; Honda Lane assist does not work most times and it's a marketing gimmick; engine not so quiet; driver windows shudder and jam at times (more in winters); sliding doors had issues until recalled, middle row seat design of Pacifica is more ergonomic (folds like third row seats, rather than the bulky honda design, need to be manually taken out risking scratches to paint); only one smart-phone USB port for the screen so cannot use anything else when the phone is connected. Not to mention very poor customer service and everything is managed by dealers, Honda corporation is in no position to help with issues, perhaps don't want to; misleading advertising
